Located at the southwest of the province of Valencia, Els Alforins constitute a plateau with a beautiful scenery that changes with each season. It is a special area for winemaking, and in fact, this is where many of the best wines of the D.O. Valencia are produced.
We will visit a very special wine cellar, with an underground cellar recovered for making wine in jars of clay, as it has been historically. The winery also recovered native varieties close to disappearing as the Mandó.
To accompany the winery tour we have 3 options:
1 – Sport Option: A walking trail from Moixent to the Bosquet. 8 kilometers. Approximately 2 hours. We will see dry stone constructions, oak trees and a lagoon. Medium-low difficulty.
2 – Gourmet Option: Visit a oil store and olive tree fields in Vallada. With tasting of virgin extra olive oil .
3 – Cultural Option: Guided tour by the Iberian settlement of La Bastida de les Alcusses, S. IV. C.
To complete the day in the area there is a lot of dining options in restaurants to discover the local cuisine.
